Lorenzo Anello lives with his son and wife in a highly racist neighborhood of the Bronx. His financial situation is not very good, but he manages to live a decent life without being involved in any crime. One day, his son sees a gangster killing a man for no reason at all. Since he did not report him to the police, a friendship begins with the gangster.
