Ted K lives a life of almost complete seclusion in a simple wooden cabin in the Montana mountains. Ted, a math genius and professor, is pressured to become the best student, and over time, he distances himself from relationships and social interactions, creating different disappointments for him. This causes him to hold grudges against people, especially their abuse of nature and their addiction to technology.
