Leaving the Who village and living in a cave at the top of the mountain, where no one dares to approach, the Grinch is accompanied only by his loyal dog Max. The Grinch's nightmare, content with the tranquility of everyday life, is the end-of-year exuberance of the Who people, who are overly fond of Christmas celebrations.
