The Karate Kid (2010)

While Dre was among Detroit's classiest kids, he had to start a new life in a very different city. Being a popular American kid; her mother's (Taraji P. Henson) career leads them both to the Far East, to China. Having difficulty making friends at first, our hero gradually develops a close relationship with his classmate Mei Ying, and luckily, Ying is not empty of it. The problem is that the gap between cultures makes such friendship impossible. Worse still, Cheng, the class bully, is sworn to be hostile to Dre and not let our hero breathe. Dre knows only a superficial karate; In the land of kung fu, Cheng gives no remorse to our karate hero and ruthlessly pins him to the ground. Feeling alone in a different land, in a foreign country, Dre has no one to talk to except mechanic Mr. Han (Jackie Chan). Originally a kung fu master, Mr. Han and Dre start working together, forging a friendship and heading towards one final encounter with Cheng at the kung fu tournament.
