The Machinist (2004)

A machine operator named Trevor Reznik loses his ability to sleep. But this is not an ordinary insomnia syndrome. Physical health and mental balance begin to deteriorate due to extreme fatigue and insomnia. His staff start to frighten him because of the strangeness of his appearance, but when one of the men loses his arm as a result of an accident in which he was also involved, he confronts the men. They blame Trevor for the accident. It has now become an obstacle for both himself and others, and the men only want Trevor to go.
Trevor's guilt turns into suspicion and paranoia when he realizes that employees are plotting to get him fired, should he expect the worse? First, he finds hidden notes in his house. Are all these mysteries part of a plot to drive Trevor crazy? Or is it all about excessive sleeplessness and fatigue?
Trevor's life turns into a sleepless nightmare as he begins to investigate the strange events that have occurred in order to understand what is happening. As he learns more, he actually prefers to know less....Show More
