The Mauritanian (2021)

It tells the story of a man awaiting trial for more than ten years. Mohamedou Ould Slahi, accused of being a terrorist, is taken into custody. Mohamedou, who says he is not guilty but cannot convince him, waits for the day he will appear before the court. Mohamedou, who has not been taken to court despite the years, has been subjected to various tortures during this process. Having lost hope that he will regain his freedom, Mohamedou begins to seek his rights thanks to the lawyer who helped him in the meantime.
