The Prestige (2006)

In London in the late 19th century, Robert Angier, his beloved wife Julia McCullough and Alfred Borden were friends and assistants to a magician. When Julia dies during a demonstration, Robert blames Alfred for her death and they become enemies of each other. Over time, they both become famous and turn into rival magicians, attempting to sabotage each other's performance on stage. When Alfred successfully cheats, Robert becomes obsessed with unraveling his opponent's secret, and tragic events follow one another.
