Leo (Mark Wahlberg) is a young man convicted of car theft and just released from prison. His plan for his future is to find a legitimate job and start a new life. He and his close friend Willie (Joaquin Phoenix) join his uncle's company and start working as a technician. Meanwhile, Willie has a marital relationship with Leo's cousin Erica (Charlize Theron).
